Problem/Challenge
Cosmetic manufacturer was looking for a promotion that they could take to a customer that would give them added lift during a key time of year. Promotion was for retailers in a specific area versus a region-wide campaign.
Solution
Using geo-demographic and consumer spending potential analysis we drew a 5 km circle around each retailer and delivered a high quality message to neighborhoods that fit the profile determined by the geo-demographic/product analysis. The area involved contains about 145,000 households, our targeting enabled us to reach the most likely respondents by mailing less than 50% of the total households. The message was contained on an 8.5 x 5.5 glossy card stock with a perforated coupon that was wallet-sized. POS materials were also produced for each retail location to further reinforce participation in the offer.
Results
Manufacturer and Retailer were very pleased with the results, response was higher than average and resulted in a solid return on investment. The product used here was The Prospector, it is a complete solution that brings in new business in a very tangible way.
